OPENING HOURS

Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Closed on Mondays

The ticket desk closes 1 hour before the end of the prevailing opening hours.

We are open on national holidays.

Guided Tour

Visitors who have purchased a ticket will be able to participate in a guided tour, which begin every half hour daily, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Group (up to 50 people) bookings should be arranged in advance.
The duration of guided tours is approximately 60 minutes.
A guided tour in a foreign language (German) is available on request: HUF 15,000 (for bookings please contact: majkiremeteseg@nofnkft.hu)

Fee of a guided tour in Hungarian:

(Taking photographs and filming within the exhibition spaces is possible only in possession of a special photo or video ticket, used only for your own private and non-commercial purposes. The use of flash is forbidden in the exhibition area. Prior arrangements must be made for press photography.)

We reserve the right to change the price of tickets at any time of the year.

All prices are valid until further notice. The prices listed are per person and include VAT. We reserve the right to change the price of tickets at any time of the year.

Please keep in mind

that the journalist card, which used to grant free admission, is no longer accepted. Only journalists who have pre-registered and received permission to conduct an interview or filming are permitted to access the facility for free.

The exhibition spaces and services are partially accessible to our guests with limited mobility; please inquire ahead of time at our contact information.

Tatabánya bus station – towards Majkpuszta – Székesfehérvár. Leaves at 8:30 a.m. and arrives in Majkupuszta at 8:48 a.m.
Tatabánya bus station – towards Majkpuszta – Dunaújváros. Leaves at 11:30 a.m. and arrives in Majkupuszta at 11:47 a.m.
Tatabánya bus station – towards Majkpuszta – Székesfehérvár. Leaves at 14:30 p.m. and arrives in Majkupuszta at 14:48 p.m.

ACCESSIBILITY

As of September 2015, access for the differently abled has been made simpler as a result of the monumental reconstruction and tourist utilisation of the Monastery building of Majk Camaldolese Hermitage.
Visitors with wheelchairs can enter the facility through the monastery’s disabled entrance on the ground floor.
Those in need can take the lift from the ground floor display area to the exhibition halls upstairs with the assistance of our colleagues.
There are accessible washrooms on the basement, ground floor, and first floor levels.
Visitors entering the Foresteria through the main entrance may utilise the handrails on either side of the stairway leading to the courtyard of the Foresteria.
Blind and visually impaired visitors are guided by tactile and Braille ceramic signs, as well as a maquette both on the ground floor and upstairs.
Admission is free for them and for one personal assistant (carer) per eligible person. They, too, can participate in a guided group tour with the assistance of the above (to prearrange, please phone +36 34 560 690 during opening hours, 2-3 weeks prior to your intended visit).
